The Department of History, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, at York University invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year Sessional Assistant Professor position in Canadian History. Required qualifications include a completed Ph.D. in History and an ongoing program of scholarly research in Canadian History. Applicants must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and in scholarly research. Candidates will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses in Canadian History at all levels. This position carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent. The start date is July 1, 2012. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
